About 2/3's Of Public Opposes Overturning Roe Vs. Wade

Donald Trump has kept his promise to right-wing evangelicals, and appointed a justice to the Supreme Court (Brett Kavanaugh) that will vote to overturn Roe vs. Wade -- the Supreme Court decision that gave women control over their own bodies, and allowed them to choose to have an abortion. But while that will make his base happy (that they could force their religious beliefs on all Americans), it is not what the huge majority of people want.

A new poll shows that nearly two-thirds (64%) of the American public wants to see the Roe vs. Wade decision remain the law of the land. Only a tiny 28% of the public wants the decision overturned. Once again, Trump has acted in a way that is against the wishes of most Americans.

The chart above is from a recent Gallup Poll -- done between July 2nd and 8th of a national sample of 1,291 adults, with a 3 point margin of error.
