On t...I have mixed feelings about Judge Sotomayor. On the one hand, I'm a little concerned about her comment "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn't lived that life." <br /><br />Can you imagine if Chief Justice Roberts had said, "I would hope that a wise Anglo man with the richness of his experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a Latina female who hasn't lived that life."?<br /><br />Or if Clarence Thomas had said, "I would hope that a wise African-American man with the richness of his experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a Latina female who hasn't lived that life."?<br /><br />On the other hand, <A HREF="http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-sotomayor-abortion28-2009may28,0,830246.story" REL="nofollow">this</A> gives me at least some hope that her "empathy" might extend to the most underrepresented group of individuals: the unborn.Curious Texanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07236663132181855501noreply@blogger.com
