Bush Admits He Lied To Americans

I could hardly believe my own ears yesterday. I could have sworn I heard Georgie admit his administration has been lying to the American people. Maybe you heard it too.

Yesterday, Georgie admitted to the world that the US has secret CIA prisons in other countries, where we keep some "terrorist" prisoners. Of course, this wasn't much of a secret. Most of the world already knew about the foreign prisons run by our CIA. The unusual part is not that the secret prisons existed, but instead that Georgie actually admits that they exist. He and everyone in his administration have been denying the existence of these prisons for months.

Georgie told us yesterday that he had transferred 14 "terrorists" from these prisons to Guantanamo so they can be tried there by a military court. This begs the question of just how many more people do we have in these secret CIA prisons that didn't exist until yesterday.

Georgie says he doesn't understand why more people don't support our effort in Iraq. It could have something to do with keeping prisoners in a foreign CIA prison so they can be tortured, and then lying about the existence of the prisons. If Georgie will lie about this, what else is he lying about? Why should anyone, foreign or domestic, trust him now?

Yesterday was really a red-letter day! It was the day Georgie admitted he was a liar.
