Texans Paying High Price For Bush's Vanity

It has been obvious to most Americans for quite a while now that Georgie made a serious blunder when he invaded Iraq. He did not send an adequate force to win the war, and now our troops are in the middle of a civil war. A true leader would admit his mistake and begin to bring our troops back home. But not Georgie - his vanity will not allow him to admit he was wrong.

Because of Georgie's misplaced vanity, Texas is paying a high price. At least 228 Texas soldiers have died since the war started in 2003. In the first 8 1/2 months of 2006, at least 37 Texas soldiers were killed. And the killing continues.

The death toll for all United States soldiers is now 2,680. There have been 2,543 U.S. soldiers killed since Georgie mistakenly declared the "mission accomplished". Nearly 20,000 United States soldiers have been wounded in the Iraqi conflict.

Isn't it time to stop the madness and bring our soldiers home?
