This story is for those of you that think evangelical preachers are special, because they're closer to god. Well, they aren't. They are just people who have flaws and make mistakes, just like everyone else. A good example is Anthony Hopkins.
Hopkins was arrested last Monday night, just after he had finished delivering a sermon to his congregation at the Inspirational Tabernacle Church of God in Christ in Jackson, Alabama. And what had this "man of god" done to get himself in trouble?
Just murder, rape, sodomy, child sexual abuse and incest. Four years ago, Hopkins' wife caught him sexually abusing their daughter. He killed her and stuffed her in the freezer in their home. Two weeks ago, the daughter moved out of the home, and told the police what had happened. Police searched the home and found the body in the freezer.
Preachers are just people, and some of them aren't very good people.
There's also something wrong with the daughter! Who lives with their Mom in the freezer for 4 years?!
ReplyDeleteI imagine she was terrified of him. He had already killed one female family member, and the evidence in the freezer was a continuing reminder.
