106 Year-Old Votes In Atlanta

A special voter visited the polls in Atlanta, and they let her go right past those voters waiting in line, straight to the election booth to cast her vote. Why? Well, age has it's benefits, and Ann Nixon Cooper is 106 years old. But no matter her age, she wasn't about to miss this election.

The African-American woman was born in Tennessee in 1902, and moved to Atlanta when she married her husband in 1922. For much of her life, she was barred from voting because of her race. That just made voting even sweeter this year when she pulled the lever for Barack Obama.

She said, "Even if he didn't win, I was happy for him just to be nominated. The first black president -- isn't that something, at 106 years old?"

Ms Cooper also had some advice for young people. She tells them, "Keep smiling. No matter what, you get out and vote. Vote your choice."

How can you argue with that?
