This is the new billboard being touted by the Lafayette County Republican Central Committee in Missouri. The billboard is on I-70 near Grain Valley, and these Republicans seem very proud of it.
I have to wonder if this billboard is even legal. First it tells people to stop paying their taxes -- "Starve the beast. Keep your money." Isn't it illegal to encourage or instruct someone to break the law?
But it's the last line on the billboard that is the most galling -- "Prepare for war. Live free or die." That sounds like they are encouraging an armed rebellion against the government of the United States. That is TREASON, and if any other organization did that they would have the FBI all over them -- and they'd be facing a long stretch in prison.
They've crossed the line this time. I think these Republicans should be treated like anyone else.
