If you Google "government never does anything right", the only hits you'll get are other left-wing sites making the same fallacious argument. I don't know of any serious conservative who believes this.
Only anarchists want the government to do nothing. Conservatives believe in limited government.
When the government tries to be all things to all people (e.g. cradle-to-grave entitlement programs), you end up with the current situation in Greece.
