Union workers in general earn far more than their counterparts in the private sector. I'm a computer engineer and I sit beside a guy who grew up in Detroit. His father was UAW his whole life. The guy bolting on tires makes more than I do and when he's not needed, he gets to sit in a jobs bank collecting almost his fully salary. Cry me a river.
I'm not complaining about my wages at all. I'm paid fair market value for my skills, not a false wage that was coerced by union thugs. And what's best, I negotiated my salary myself. I am the captain of my own ship.
Also, those union Presidents don't seem to be getting any poorer. How is it that the labor union bosses wine and dine and fly with the corporate elite?
Welcome to the private sector where you actually have to compete, work hard, and advance on your own merits.

ReplyDeleteIf you would unionize you wouldn't have to complain about your low wages. Don't complain about union workers when you don't want to unionize.
