When the Bush administration passed the Patriot Act, they told Americans it was needed to fight terrorism and would never be used against American citizens. They lied. It has been used to fight terrorism only about 1% of the time, and it is commonly used against American citizens. I think that was what they wanted all along -- another way to invade the privacy and abuse the constitutional rights of American citizens. Just another giant step on the road to our police state. It needs to be repealed -- all of it. From the pages of
