Poll Shows A Tight Race In South Carolina

Yesterday I posted about the latest Public Policy Polling survey that showed Mitt Romney had a four point lead over Newt Gingrich (27% to 23%). Another poll has now been released which has the race even tighter that that. The Insider Advantage Poll has Romney leading by only two points. There's still eight more days to go before the people of the Palmetto State vote their preference, and that's time for anything to happen. But it is becoming obvious that the race in that state is a lot closer and more interesting than the one in New Hampshire was. Here are the poll numbers:

INSIDER ADVANTAGE POLL
(3.6 point margin of error)
Mitt Romney...............23%
Newt Gingrich...............21%
Rick Santorum...............14%
Ron Paul...............13%
Jon Huntsman...............7%
Rick Perry...............5%
Other/Undecided...............17%
