Cowboys Sign 21 Undrafted Free Agents

The NFL draft is over, and the coaches will get their first look at the seven players they drafted in next weekend's first mini-camp. But the draftees won't be the only players attending that mini-camp. They will be joined by a few of last year's rookies, and by a bunch of undrafted free agents the cowboys were able to sign after the draft -- about 21 of them. Here are the free agents who are now Cowboys (at least for a while):

George Bryan, tight end, North Carolina State
Saalim Hakim, wide receiver, Tarleton State
Donavon Kemp, wide receiver, UTEP
Andrew Szczerba, tight end, Penn State

Will any of these new Cowboys still be with the team when the season opens? Most will not. But if history is any teacher, there is a chance that one or two could impress the coaches enough to stick around (remember that Romo and Austin were not drafted and made the team this way). But we won't know for a while -- when training camp is over about four months from now. But for right now, the dream is still alive for all of them.
