Florida Court Makes Silly Decision

You probably recognize the person in the picture above (even though he's trying hard to clean up his image for the court). It is George Zimmerman -- the Florida racist who thinks he is justified in killing African-American teenagers who have the audacity to be in his neighborhood (even if they have relatives, like a father, living there).

Zimmerman's lawyers have made it clear how they plan to defend this murderer. They are going to put his teenage victim on trial. They have asked the court for access to Trayvon Martin's school and social media records. Obviously, they are hoping there is something in those records they can use to demonize the victim -- and make the shooting look somehow justified.

And amazingly, the Florida court has granted Zimmerman permission to access those records. I'm left to wonder why? What possible relevance could those records have in this trial? Even if those records contain damning information about young Trayvon (and I don't believe they do), Zimmerman had no knowledge of that when he chose to shoot the young man. He shot him because he was African-American, and for no other reason.

The truth of the matter is that Zimmerman was at least 10 years older, forty pounds heavier, and he was armed with a pistol (while Trayvon was unarmed, except for a can of iced tea and a package of skittles) -- and the police had already told Zimmerman to back off and to NOT confront the teenager. There was absolutely no reason for Zimmerman to shoot the teenager -- but he did.

This is a pretty simple case of racist murder, regardless of what is in Trayvon's school or social media records.
