2012 Voting In Texas

This is the 2012 election map of Texas (county by county) from fellow Texas blogger Michael Handley at Democratic Blog News. It looks very similar to the map for the 2008 election, which is no real surprise. South Texas and the largest urban counties were blue, while the rest of the state was red. Our State Democratic Party chairman, Gilberto Hinojosa, thinks Texas could be a swing state in another four years. Looking at this map, I think he is being more than a little bit optimistic. I do believe the demographic changes happening in Texas will turn it blue in the future, but that change is probably going to take quite a bit longer than four years. Here are some other voting facts from Texas:

REGISTERED VOTERS
2012...............13,646,226
2008...............13,575,062

  1. Just like everywhere else in the country, where there are people, there are Democrats.

If acres could vote, the Democrats would be screwed.
