2014 Starts Gender Fairness In Insurance

This is just one more inequity that was fixed by the passage of Obamacare. Currently, private insurance companies charge women higher premiums for the same insurance as men in most states (as though their sex was a pre-existing condition). That sexist practice will no longer be allowed beginning in 2014. Obamacare is far from perfect, but it did a lot that needed to be done -- and gender fairness in insurance pricing is one of those things.
