A Simple Question

The obvious answer is YES! Why should the government provide these men with health insurance, when they are so willing to deny that same right to health insurance to millions of their fellow Americans? It's just common sense that these hard-hearted men should not enjoy a benefit they would deny to others.

  1. This is something that has long angered me: the whole phenomenon of government-hating "Conservatives" who spend their working lives on the public payroll, enjoying lavish taxpayer funded jobs and benefits. If you hate the government, then you really have no business working for the government. I personally know quite a few Republicans who work for the government. They all listen to Rush and they all despise the government---and yet they have no problem spending their working lives working for the government.
One such person I know pulls down nearly $100,000 in his government job. He enjoys lavish benefits, 7 weeks paid vacation, loads of holidays, and has a nice fat taxpayer-funded pension to look forward to when he retires in his mid-50s.
I tried to explain to this Rush Limbaugh ditto-head that in the private sector, you don't get 7 weeks vacation, much less a pension. And yet this person continues to bash the government and sing the praises of dog-eat-dog hard-core capitalism. (I've asked him repeatedly why he doesn't just simply quit his government job and go to work for his beloved private sector....but he always changes the subject).

  2. Don't forget that the GOP is the "values" party -- and the two greatest values they respect are greed and hypocrisy.
