Economy Depends On Well Paid Workers

With the help of the Republican Party, Big Business seems determined to bust unions, depress wages, share none of the increase in productivity with workers, and do away with the minimum wage (or at least keep it from rising to a livable wage). They don't realize it yet, because today's businesses have forgotten how to plan for the long term (caring only what their stock price is this week), but they are cutting their own throats.

President Roosevelt was right. Well paid workers are what keeps the economy growing. Who's going to buy the products and services produced by Big Business after the middle class is gone, and all that is left are millions of poor people and a few rich people (who are hogging all the wealth)?
