Americans seem to love conspiracy theories, some really wacky ones. Public Policy Polling did a survey of some of these conspiracy theories between March 27th and 30th, by polling a nationwide sample of 1,247 registered voters (yes, these people actually vote in our elections). The survey had a margin of error of 2.8 points. I give you the percentage who say they believe in a certain conspiracy theory, and the percentage who say they are unsure if it's true or not (which is nearly as bad):

I have my doubts about JFKs assassination too and I am a rational, logical, progressive, agnostic, military brat whose father had a top secret clearance. He was the one who gave me reason to doubt the findings of the Warren Commission. I have seen many interviews with experts and eye-witnesses and there is way too much conflicting information. We won't know what really happened for at least a hundred years so I will never really know what happened in my lifetime. Dang! At least I am not alone.

ReplyDeleteI respect your opinion, and I have many friends that agree with you -- but for myself, I have never heard or seen any evidence that convinces me that Oswald did not act alone.
