That's a pretty amazing statistic, considering the huge number of Americans that have been killed in all of our wars (Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Civil War, World War I, World War II, etc.), but it's true. More people have died from gun violence (homicides, suicides, accidents) just since 1960. It seems that we do a much better job of killing American citizens than any foreign power ever could.
But we don't have a gun problem in this country. Just ask the NRA.
