Fixing Social Security Is Simple

  1. They've raised it before. There is no reason that they can't raise it again...incrementally. If they raise the retirement age, older people will just stay in the workforce longer holding onto jobs that could go to younger people who need to begin their careers. It's like the "cycle of life" where an older group makes room for a younger one. That goes for politicians too!

    1. I would settle for an incremental raising of the cap -- but personally, I think we should eliminate the cap altogether and let the rich pay the same percentage as everyone else.

  2. Another way to "save" SS is to raise the withholding about 80 cents per week per year for about 20 years.
