Obsession

Christians say they have a message of love from a god of love, but all too often the message they spread is one of hate. Why do they obsess over homosexuality, which their Jesus didn't even consider important enough to discuss, and yet ignore and reject his many teachings on helping and taking care of the poor and disadvantaged, which that same Jesus taught over and over? Is it really christian to pick some parts of the Bible to believe, and other parts to ignore?

  1. Ted Great points which are seldom mentioned in sermons. Especially in the South. The essay on the poor is especially painfully true. How does the Songs of Solomon figure in this?
