A Majority In U.S. Want Marijuana Legalized

This is exciting news, because it shows that support for the legalization of marijuana (for both medical and recreational use by adults) is picking up steam, and growing faster with each passing year. The top chart shows the results of the latest Gallup Poll (conducted between October 3rd and 6th of a random national sample of 1,028 adults, with a margin of error of 4 points).

For the first time since Gallup has been polling on this issue (about 44 years), the survey shows a clear majority of Americans favor the legalization of marijuana -- about 58%. Only 39% wanted to keep it illegal. That's a difference of 19 points -- well above the margin of error. It looks like Americans are finally starting to see through the lies their government has been telling them about marijuana for decades.
