Quarter Of Public Is Angry With Government

The charts above represent research done by the Pew Research Center, and I found it interesting. It seems that anger with the federal government is generally growing -- from 12% back in 1997 to about 26% in 2013 (or more than a quarter of the general population of this country). Also interesting, but not surprising is that most of that anger currently comes from conservative Republicans. But it hasn't always been that way. Back in 2006, during the second term of President Bush, only 5% of conservative Republicans were angry while 44% of liberal Democrats were angry with the government. I guess it's harder for the extremes of both parties to be angry when the president is from their own party. Meanwhile, the anger level of Independents has remained fairly constant -- at 21% in 2006 and 24% in 2013.
