A graphic similar to this has been posted on this blog once or twice in the past, but it deserves repeating -- as much as possible. Too many people in this country have swallowed the Republican lie that they are the party of economic responsibility and prosperity. That is not even close to the truth. They may be the party of low taxes for rich people, but the Democrats are the party that creates opportunity and economic well-being for all citizens -- from the poorest to the richest Americans.
