Nibali Snatches Race Lead Back In Great Stage 10 Ride


In stage 9 of this year's Tour, Vincenzo Nibali lost his overall race lead to Frenchman Tony Gallopin. Evidently that didn't set well with the Italian rider, because he went out and had a great mountain ride -- winning stage 10 by 15 seconds over over Thibaud Pinot of France, and by 20 seconds over Alejandro Valverde Belmonte of Spain (who finished third). This catapulted Nibali back into the overall race lead by more than two minutes, and makes him a real favorite to win this year's Tour.

Tuesday is a rest day for the riders. Then they go into stage 11 -- a less difficult mountain stage (having only one category 4 climb and three category 3 climbs). Here are the current standings:
