Because the people in it were too poor to buy anything much more than a loaf of bread! the number may not be exact, but according to the coalition for homeless, the number of homeless people who die on the streets of america is approximately 37,000 a year. not to worry though, we won't run out any time soon, the numbers of folks and families becoming homeless are replenished daily as companies close down their shops and move their operations overseas putting more on the streets.
