In my neck of the woods (Northern California), I seem to run into a lot of artisans who claim that their excellent works are not theirs. It is just God working through them. I can't tell you how frustrating I find this. Even if the artisan thinks it's true, it is rude to not let people compliment you. And that's something that Christians don't seem to understand: just because you do it in the name of your God doesn't make it any less rude. I don't go door to door forcing people to listen as I read stirring passages from Don Quixote. Christians depend upon the rest of us being too polite to point out the obvious.
