Eighty-four percent of Americans say money has too much influence in politics, and 85% of those surveyed said the campaign-finance system should be either completely rebuilt or fundamentally changed.

Do you think that as a country, the US should put more emphasis, less emphasis or about the same emphasis as it does now on producing domestic energy from each of the following sources:

    Solar Power – More 79%, Less 9%, Same 12%
    Wind – More 70%, Less 14%, Same 14%
    Natural Gas – More 55%, Less 12%, Same 32%
    Oil – More 41%, Less 30%, Same 27%
    Nuclear – More 35%, Less 33%, Same 28%
    Coal – More 28%, Less 43%, Same 27%

The 73% of parents of children younger than 18 who worry about funding college tops the 70% of lower-income Americans who worry about having enough money to pay for medical costs in the event of a serious illness or accident.

Overall, 54 percent supported federal funding of Planned Parenthood, and 26 percent opposed it.

Currently, 85% of Americans – including large majorities of Democrats (88%) and Republicans (79%) – favor expanded background checks, little changed from May 2013 (81%).

Of the likely voters polled in early June, 69 percent said it is important to reduce prison populations -- with 81 percent of Democrats, 71 percent of independents and 54 percent of Republicans agreeing with the sentiment.

Only 51% now see the war in Iraq as a mistake...
