The problem with statements like this is that Republicans would say exactly the same thing. But they would mean that we have to give tax breaks to the rich, because that's worked so well in the past. I know the context that Clinton is saying that in. But I think it is important to remember what the Republicans actually say. Because there will always be pundits saying, "See, the two sides really do agree on fundamentals!" No, not really.
