Please tell me who put Texas in charge of writing school textbooks for most of the United States classrooms? The first time I came into contact with obvious changes to historical events was back in the 1980s when I was talking with a North Carolina student who was interning for the company I worked for. She recited some TX facts about Lyndon Johnson that had obviously been altered. I lived through that period in history and those facts were not only altered but they subtly changed the historical truth about LBJ, his background, and his administration. I guess this textbook thing has been going on for decades right under our noses without review.
