Obama Job Approval Is Now 51% In The New ABC/WP Poll
President Obama is being looked on more favorably regarding his job performance, and for the first time since May of 2013 is above 50%. It now rests at 51%. But while the president's numbers are climbing, the same is not true of either party in Congress. The president's job approval is 16 points better than congressional Democrats, and 27 points better than congressional Republicans.
Of course, that means that while the public is unhappy with both parties in Congress, they are angrier with Republicans than Democrats. The disapproval of Republicans is 12 points higher than for Democrats -- and the approval is 11 points lower.
These numbers are from a new ABC News / Washington Post Poll -- done between October 15th and 18th of a random national sample of 1,001 adults, with a 3.5 point margin of error.
