This chart (made with information from the Pew Research Center's Global Attitudes Survey) poses an interesting question. Why are the developed nations (and the most democratic) -- those providing their citizens the most freedom and the highest standard of living -- all grouped in the lower half of the chart? Could it be that religion holds back progress?
No matter what the holier then thous say religion is the #1 cause of most misery, and the restriction of advancement to a better life. Followed by any sort of dogma, which are all evil, followed by the stupid action of never questioning traditions, followed by the abject fear of thinking.
