Voters Are Angry And Most Of The Anger Is With Congress

NBC News tested the mood of the American electorate -- and what they found was a lot of anger. While the public was not happy with what was happening in Washington a year ago, about half the population say they are even angrier this year (49%).

And as a new YouGov Poll shows, the thing they are the angriest with is Congress. Only 13% of the public approves of the job Congress is doing. About 43% approve of the job the president is doing. The president's numbers are nothing to brag about, but they look absolutely astronomical when compared to the congressional numbers (which are 30 points lower).

I know that most political pundits are predicting the Republicans will hang on to Congress in the 2016 election, but I'm not so sure about that. Angry voters tend to show up at the polls and vote, and a large turnout tends to favor Democrats -- especially since most members of the Congress that voters are unhappy with are Republicans.
