Congress Is Still Viewed Very Poorly By Most Americans

If you are a member of Congress, then you should be running scared right now. The public is still very angry with Congress. Only 11% of voters think Congress is doing a good job, while 60% (a substantial majority) say they are doing a very poor job.

That's not all. About 61% say most members of Congress are willing to sell their vote for cash or campaign contributions -- and 61% say their own member of Congress has probably already sold his/her vote. With this kind of negative feeling, there may be quite a few members of Congress that won't get their ticket to Washington renewed in November.

These numbers are from a new Rasmussen Poll -- done on February 17th and 18th of a random national sample of 1,000 likely voters, with a 3 point margin of error.
