Gruesome as Stephen King's description of the crime scene is, it only touches on the destruction to the human body caused by weapons meant for war. Why do our veterans have ptsd? Ask them what they saw in combat and you will have an idea of what the first-responders saw in Orlando and Newtown, and too many more mass-shooting scenes.
