Gwen Ifill

Readers of this blog will know that I don't have a lot of respect for most of the people calling themselves "journalists" these days. Gwen Ifill was an exception. She was worthy of the title.

Sadly, she has died from cancer, even though she was only 61 years old. This country is a little worse off from losing this good woman.

From NBC News:

Pioneering television news anchor Gwen Ifill died Monday after a battle with cancer, NBC News has confirmed. She was 61. 
Ifill, a longtime newscaster at PBS who formerly worked at NBC News and the New York Times, was in hospice when she passed away.
