President Obama vastly improved the image of the United States in the rest of the world (repairing most of the damage George W. Bush had done). Will Donald Trump improve that image. Most Americans say no. About 52% say he will not, while only 38% say he will.
Only one group has more saying Trump will improve the image of the U.S. -- those 65 and older. Those of every other age, gender, and race/ethnicity think the opposite. I personally think it will be worse than that. I think Trump will seriously damage the image of the United States.
This chart was made using information contained in a recent Economist / YouGov Poll -- done between January 14th and 17th of a random national sample of 1,447 adults, with a margin of error of 3 points.
