Trump Voters Are Willing To Believe Administration Lies

This was an interesting question asked in the Public Policy Polling survey (done on February 7th and 8th of a random national sample of 712 registered voters, with a 3.7 point margin of error). They asked poll respondents if the Bowling Green massacre justified Donald Trump's executive orders limiting the ability of muslims to enter this country.

What makes the question interesting is that there was no Bowling Green massacre. It was a lie, invented by the White House and told by White House aide Kellyanne Conway to attempt to justify Trump's actions on immigration (especially from muslim countries). And the fact that there was no such massacre was widely reported both in the mainstream media and social media.

As the chart shows. most people understand this -- a majority of every group but one. That one group is Trump voters. A majority of Trump voters (51%) say the Bowling Green massacre justifies the actions of their hero. They prefer the lies of the Trump administration to the truth reported by the media.
