Most Don't Think Congress Can Do A Fair Investigation
Americans don't have much faith in Congress conducting a fair, impartial, and thorough investigation of the ties the Trump campaign had to Russia in the 2016 presidential campaign. About 50% of the general public and 55% of Democrats (and leaners) say Congress will not be fair -- and about 46% of Republicans (and leaners) agree. It's time for an impartial independent investigator to be appointed.
This chart is from a new ABC News / Washington Post Poll -- done between April 17th and 20th of a random national sample of 1,004 adults, with a margin of error of 3.5 points.
