Americans Still Don't Like The New Trump/GOP Tax Plan

Republicans remain convinced that they did a good thing in passing the new tax law (which gives massive tax cuts to the rich and to corporations). And they think that when Americans see the tiny cut in their own pay checks, they'll also like the law. Well, they have a long way to go to convince Americans.

Two new polls show that Americans still don't like the new law. They know it mainly benefits the rich, and they don't like that. They wanted a tax cut, but they wanted one that mainly benefitted the middle class. That's not what the Republicans delivered.

The Quinnipiac University Poll was done between January 5th and 9th of a random national sample of 1,106 voters, and has a margin of error of 3.6 points.

The Gallup Poll was done between January 2nd and 7th of a random national sample of 1,024 adults, with a margin of error of 4 points.
