How The Members Of Each Party Differ On The Issues


Republicans and Democrats differ on which issues they consider the most important (and therefore would like the government to address first). The chart above illustrates the differences. It uses information from a recent Pew Research Center survey -- done between January 10th and 15th of a random national sample of 1,503 adults (768 Democrats and 593 Republicans). The margin of error is 4.1 points for Democrats and 4.7 points for Republicans.
