Donald Trump has done his best to cover his misdeeds and lies by attacking the media. He has hoped these attack will confuse the public and let him off the hook. But his campaign against the media is not succeeding. A majority of the public still trusts most media outlets more than they trust Trump.
The public trusts CNN more than Trump by a 15 point margin, NBC by a 14 point margin, ABC by a 14 point margin, CBS by a 14 point margin, New York Times by a 14 point margin, and the Washington Post by a 13 point margin.
The only news outlet that didn't score a majority against Trump was Fox News, where a plurality of 41% was unsure which to trust more. That's understandable, since both Trump and Fox spout the same lies and propaganda.
The chart above reflects the results of the latest Public Policy Polling survey -- done between June 8th and 10th of a national sample of 679 registered voters, with a 3.8 point margin of error.
