New GQR Poll Has O'Rourke Within 6 Points Of Cruz
Greenberg-Quinlan-Rosner Research recently did a survey of 1,000 likely voters in Texas between May 29th and June 5th. They found the senate race between Democrat Beto O'Rourke and Republican Ted Cruz to be in single digits -- with O'Rourke trailing Cruz by only 6 points (43% to 49%).
That's the closest Democrats have been in a senate race in more than two decades, and makes me think this race is winnable. Texans know Cruz, and he can't get a majority. If O'Rourke, who's a good campaigner, can get his message to Texas voters in the next four months, we could see a minor miracle happen in Texas.
