Over 2 Million Democrats Voted In The Texas Primary

Joe Biden shocked most pundits by winning the Texas Democratic primary on Super Tuesday. With 99% of the vote in, Biden got 34.34% of the vote. Bernie Sanders got 29.98% of the vote. Michael Bloomberg got 14.45% and Elizabeth Warren got 11.44%.

The turnout was huge -- about2,060,221. But it was not a record. The 2008 election (with Barack Obama) had a turnout of 2,874,986. The 2020 turnout was significantly larger though than in 2004, 2012, and 2016.

I think the large turnout for Democrats is because of a burning desire to kick Trump out of the White House.

NOTE -- the numbers are from the official site of the Texas Secretary of State.
