A tiny minority of Americans have violated stay-at-home orders to protest for the reopening of the economy. They claim that the orders violate their constitutional rights.
The American public overwhelmingly disagrees with them. About 65% of all adults and 68% of registered voters say those orders don't violate any rights. Only 21% of adults and 22% of registered voters disagree. That's a net positive in favor of the stay-at-home orders of 44 points for adults and 46 points for registered voters. And all demographic groups agree (including a plurality of Republicans).
The numbers are from the newest Economist / YouGov Poll -- done between April 19th and 21st of a national sample of 1,500 adults (including 1,144 registered voters). The margin of error for adults is 3.1 points, and for registered voters is 3.4 points.
