Only 47% In The U.S. Belong To Any Religious Organization


 The chart above is from the Gallup Poll -- the latest being done between May 3rd and 13th and December 1st and 16th of this year. They queried 1,837 adults, and the margin of error is 3.0 points.

It shows that membership in a religious organization (church, synagogue, temple, etc.) has dropped rapidly in the last two decades in the United States. In 2000, about 70% were members. In 2020, that number has dropped to 47%. That's less than half, and is a drop of 23 points in only 20 years.

The religious won't admit it, but religion is slowly dying in this country.
