The Resignation Letter Danielle Sassoon Wrote To AG Bondi


The Trump administration is not even trying to hide their corruption anymore. Eric Adams (the mayor of New York City) was facing serious charges of corruption, and additional charges were in the process of being added. But that was before Adams agreed to help Trump with his immigration deportations in New York City - something he agreed to so the federal charges would be dismissed. That is called a quid pro quo, and it is illegal.

The Trump administration doesn't care about laws - only getting what they want. So Trump told AG Pam Bondi to drop the charges against Adams. Bondi instructed the Southern District of New York federal prosecutor, Danielle Sassoon to dismiss the charges. 

But Bondi got a surprise. While Sassoon is a conservative Republican, she is also a person of honor who would not violate the law just to please her bosses (Bondi and Trump). She sent Bondi an 8-page letter resigning her post and refusing to follow the illegal directive.
