Being Christian Doesn't Automatically Make You Good

  1. Going to church doesn't make anyone Christian, any more than going to McDonald's makes anyone a hamburger.

The fact of the matter is, Hitler (as well many of his Nazi henchmen) were seriously involved in the occult. Whatever connection Hitler might have had with Christianity was purely mercenary in nature - a pragmatic attempt to gain the support of the Church.

Hitler was also a vegetarian. Does that mean that vegetarianism isn't good for you?

I'll make you a deal, Ted: Don't hang Hitler around my neck, and I won't hang the atheist Stalin around yours.

  3. "and why does nobody seem to know about Hong Xiuquan?"

I have to admit I didn't. For others who are as ignorant as I was, here's the Wikipedia article on Hong.

Interesting guy. Sort of an Asian cross between Jim Jones and David Koresh.

I wonder if he's any relation to William Hung.
