Golden Globes Gets It Right On TV Awards

Last Sunday night the Hollywood Foreign Press Association gave out its Golden Globe awards.   I normally think most of these awards programs get it wrong most of the time, but I really can't argue with most of the TV awards they gave out (I haven't seen most of the movies nominated, so I don't feel qualified to discuss those).   The following winners richly deserved their award:

BEST TV DRAMA SERIES -- Boardwalk Empire

BEST ACTOR IN TV DRAMA SERIES -- Steve Buscemi (pictured) in Boardwalk Empire

BEST ACTRESS IN TV DRAMA SERIES -- Katey Sagal in Sons of Anarchy

BEST ACTOR IN TV COMEDY/MUSICAL SERIES -- Jim Parsons in Big Bang Theory

BEST ACTRESS IN TV COMEDY/MUSICAL SERIES -- Laura Linney in The Big C

BEST ACTOR IN TV MINISERIES/MOVIE -- Al Pacino in You Don't Know Jack

BEST ACTRESS IN TV MINISERIES/MOVIE -- Claire Danes in Temple Grandin

Congratulations to all of the above for giving me hours of quality TV entertainment.   The comedy/musical series Glee also won three awards, but I won't comment on that since I haven't been able to talk myself into watching any episodes of that show.

  1. I would have been happier if Sons of Anarchy made a full sweep..it's the best show on tv.
and I felt the same way about glee..but I made the fatal mistake of watching one show...and was hooked..it's more than you think it is.
