And this is upsetting a lot of people, because it means their astrological signs are not the same. Others say this is something that's been known a long time and only affects the sidereal zodiac (observed in some Eastern countries). They assure people that the Western nations follow the tropical zodiac (based on the seasons), and that has not changed.
Personally, I'm just shocked that about a quarter of the American population (according to the Gallup Poll) actually believes that the alignment of heavenly bodies can affect their lives. What the hell is wrong with you people? Did you sleep through high school science?
Sometimes humans can be incredibly weird.
I first heard something about this on the Today Show, though not the whole story. I guess some people find solace in the idea that their lives are preordained by the paths of celestial bodies. I've always found astrological readings so general that one could read anything they want into them.
